Wishing you could make all of your new tees as super soft as your favorite t-shirt? You can! Just brine them in salt water. Add ½ cup of salt to 1 quart of water and soak your tee in this solution for three days. Follow with a machine wash (only a bit of detergent) and then tumble dry on low.

Find yourself putting on your favorite pants or skirt only to find the hem coming loose but you don’t have time (or don’t know how!) to sew it? No problem! Just head over to your crafting table and pull out the hot glue gun or double stick tape. It’s a great temporary fix. Also, throw that double stick tape in your purse for on-the-go hem-emergencies.

#10. Shoe Stretching

Stretch shoes by adding a bag of water to each shoe and freeze overnight. The water expands inside of the shoe to gently stretch the shoe out slightly. Remove the shoes from the freezer and allow the ice to melt just enough to remove the bags. Your shoes will be slightly roomier and should fit great. This works particularly well for leather shoes.
